Brainspotting Therapy
In Oakland, CA and Online Across California
You don’t have to keep reliving the pain. Your body and brain can heal.
You’ve worked hard to make sense of the past. But no matter how much you talk it through, something still feels stuck.
That’s where Brainspotting comes in—a powerful mind-body approach designed to help you access deeper healing and find real relief.

When talk therapy isn’t enough...
You might feel torn between what your mind knows and what your heart still feels. Trauma, grief, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm can live in your body long after the event is over. Maybe you’re:
Still affected by a traumatic birth
Struggling with anxiety, panic, or dread
Dealing with unresolved grief or loss
Repeating old patterns in relationships
Carrying shame or self-criticism
If you’ve tried talking through it and still feel stuck, Brainspotting could be the next step.
How Brainspotting Works
Brainspotting is based on the idea that where you look affects how you feel. By focusing your gaze on specific “brainspots” linked to unresolved emotional material, your brain and body can begin to release stored trauma.
You don’t have to talk through everything.
You stay in control of the process.
You’ll be guided with care and support the entire time.
We begin by identifying a target issue and the physical sensations linked to it. You’ll focus visually on a point associated with that emotion while I support and track your experience. This often results in deep processing, emotional shifts, and nervous system relief.
Brainspotting therapy can help you..
Heal emotional wounds and past trauma
Reduce anxiety and stress
Feel grounded and calm in your body
Stop overthinking or replaying painful memories
Reconnect with your intuition
Cultivate self-compassion
Increase emotional resilience
Release stored tension
Find peace after loss or heartbreak

Unlike talk therapy, it doesn’t require you to verbalize everything, and unlike EMDR, it's less structured and allows more space for your natural healing process to unfold. Many clients find it gentle, intuitive, and powerful.
-
Brainspotting can support healing from trauma, anxiety, grief, performance blocks, chronic stress, birth trauma, and emotional overwhelm. It’s particularly helpful when traditional talk therapy hasn’t provided lasting relief.
-
No — one of the benefits of Brainspotting is that you can process experiences without needing to share the details aloud. This makes it especially powerful for clients who feel stuck or retraumatized by verbal retelling.

Sessions are quiet and deeply focused. I’ll guide you to notice what’s happening in your body while focusing on a “brainspot.” You may speak, remain silent, or move between the two. I’ll stay attuned and present throughout.
-
Before your intensive, we’ll complete a 90-minute intake and planning session to clarify your goals and prepare your system. You’ll also receive pre- and post-care recommendations for grounding and integration.
