Therapy for Therapists, Physicians, and Helping Professionals in Oakland, CA & Online Across California

Support for Burnout, Vicarious Trauma, Identity Stress, and Emotional Overload

You hold a lot for other people. This space is for you.

As a therapist, physician, or helping professional, you’re trained to show up with calm, clarity, and compassion — even when you don’t feel that way internally. But underneath that role, you may feel depleted, overwhelmed, emotionally detached, or stretched in ways that are difficult to talk about professionally.

You spend your days holding other people's hardest moments. Who holds yours?

I specialize in therapy for helping professionals who are tired of over-functioning and ready to receive the kind of support they so consistently provide to others.

You might be…

  • Feeling like you have to manage or intellectually lead your own therapy sessions because of your clinical training

  • Exhausted from emotional labor and compassion fatigue

  • Questioning your career direction, identity, or values

  • Carrying vicarious trauma from clients or patients

  • Struggling to balance caregiving at work and home

  • Feeling like therapy hasn’t worked because you “know too much”

  • Wondering how to be fully yourself in the therapy room

  • Feeling lonely, even in a professional community

Whether you’re early in your career or well established, you deserve a space where you can be fully human without having to hold it all together.

You Know Too Much to Fake It in Therapy — and Not Enough to Go It Alone

If you’re in the early years of practice, you may be carrying questions like:

  • Am I doing this right?

  • Why do I feel like an imposter in sessions?

  • Why does this work feel so heavy already?

  • Is it OK to talk about my own trauma in therapy?

This is not supervision or case consultation. It’s therapy focused on your emotional experience, identity, relationships, and internal world.

Ready to begin?
You’re used to being the one others count on. It’s okay to need support for yourself.

I work with:

  • Mental health professionals: therapists, psychologists, social workers, MFTs

  • Medical professionals: physicians, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, integrative and functional medicine physicians

  • Early-career therapists navigating burnout, professional identity, and uncertainty

  • Professionals juggling caregiving at home and work

  • Mothers who are also clinicians or medical providers

  • Helpers navigating medical trauma, systemic fatigue, or grief

My Approach:

I’m a psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience, and I understand the professional, emotional, and caregiving pressures that come with this work. I offer relational, trauma-informed therapy rooted in depth work, integrating Brainspotting, somatic approaches, and traditional talk therapy.

You don’t have to translate your world for me. You can simply show up as yourself.
