Life doesn’t have to feel this way forever. Let’s take the time to prioritize you.

You’ve mastered survival mode. Now it’s time to live. Meet Dr. Elizabeth Gayner, women’s therapist in Oakland, CA.

You’re wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.

The twists and turns on this journey to motherhood are leaving you lost and broken. Maybe you’re struggling with deep hurt from the past that you can’t figure out how to let go. There’s a weight of uncertainty, fear, and grief that makes it hard to even catch your breath, let alone envision a path forward. You’re asking yourself, “Am I going to feel this way forever?”

You’ve reached a point where you know something has to change. What if I told you there could be more than just relief ahead? Together we can work to reclaim who you are and discover who you want to become.

MEET ELIZABETH GAYNER, Psy.D, PMH-C

I know just how important it is to find someone who truly “gets it.”

With years of experience in perinatal issues and maternal mental health, I understand the unique challenges women face during these demanding stages of life. My deep expertise and knowledge of trauma means I can also confidently offer support and guidance for navigating painful past experiences, no matter what those might be.

As a therapist, my approach is full of warmth, empathy, humor and gentle directness. This environment is a safe space to explore your emotions and challenges openly, even the ones you may have never said out loud. I’ll be there to meet you wherever you are with compassion, as we untangle your emotions and experiences together. I believe in normalizing—not minimizing— experiences to help you see that you’re not alone in your struggles.

I believe in therapy that feels
relieving. transformative. validating. encouraging. hopeful. empowering. nurturing.
